A total of 500 Irish construction jobs will created in Drogheda, just 30kms outside Dublin, next year when work starts on a €200m mixed-use development.

The new €200 million development will create over 1,100 jobs in Drogheda, when completed and a total of 500 new construction jobs during construction.
Developer Edward Holdings will build the complex which will comprise office and retail space, an eight-screen multiplex cinema, restaurants, a farmers' market and a hotel extension on the 43,000sq m ‘Southbank’ development. The residential part of the scheme will comprise 180 apartments and car parking for 650 vehicles, subject to planning approval.
