Field Services Engineer

Brightpath Recruitment is currently seeking a Field Services Engineer for our client who is one of North America’s leading manufacturer of liquid, tablet and powder packaging equipment and is expanding their European operations. They are known for their unique European design and capability to minimise production costs through

integrating multiple packaging applications.

As Field Engineer you will have the opportunity of working for a multinational organization with opportunities to work on projects for a wide range of global customers internationally. The role will involve supporting customers throughout Ireland and abroad.


Responsibilities:
 
  • You will provide a full range of technical support services to Customers including installation, service, repair, overhaul, upgrade, modification and training.
  • These customers are based throughout Ireland so there will be travel to the different client sites and some nights away.
  • Service and maintenance of manufacturing or packaging equipment.
  • Mechanical and electrical fault-finding and reading of electrical and pneumatic drawings
  • Support of automated machinery (specifically PLC controls, Servo and AC drives).
 
Qualifications & Experience required
 
  • Electronic/Engineering Qualification
  • Flexibility towards working hours is key as you will be required to work occasional weekends, early starts and late finishes.
  • Primary location is Ireland with travel nationwide and also to Europe and to Canada for training  
  • Ideally 3 years’ experience in a FDA regulated environment
  • Experience in packaging & filling equipment would be a big advantage. However, comprehensive training on the full range of company equipment will be provided.
  • Knowledge of Pharma/Food product manufacturing, especially automated processes or filling operations
  • Self-motivated with excellent initiative and team working skills
  • Ability to deliver a first class customer service
