Due to continued growth in our operations, we are seeking new personnel to join our project teams. We now require a Regional Project Controls Manager for our operations in Canada.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
In concert with the EPC Business Manager and the Construction Business Manager develop and maintain systems and procedures for all cost and planning procedures. These systems must represent best practices and be consistently applied to all projects.
JOB OBJECTIVES
· In addition develop and maintain a cost code system separate from the accounting system to be applied on all projects.
· Maintain a staff of qualified project control personnel, in sufficient numbers, to place on projects during all phases of the project
· Participate in all project reviews of Level 3 and 4 projects.
· Overview in concert with the Project Managers the accuracy of all project cost reports and predictions of contributions.
· To work with assigned business line management to address any specific problems or concerns related to the project and / or Project control functions
· Cross check with a separate accounting systems with the Regional Financial Manager to cross check contribution reports.
EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor Degree in engineering discipline i.e. Mechanical /Electrical.
· Minimum 15 years of experience in project controls for contracting industry operations.
· Skilled in developing and implementing cost and schedule control systems, techniques and procedures.
· Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated experience in all aspects of cost engineering, planning and scheduling, estimating, budgeting and cost related services to support project activities.
· Knowledgeable of current industry and technical developments.
· Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction functions and general business techniques.
· Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated skill to present project status information to management and client.
· Demonstrated skill in management, supervisory and personnel administrative functions.
· Proven track record with recognized international standard companies, particularly in Oil and Gas operations and projects.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of English.
· Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
· Managerial / Supervision level experience in the field of project controls.
· Computer literate especially with Primavera (P3), Microsoft Word, Excel and Access (all essential).
