Telecommunications Commercial Director Summary
An experienced Commercial Director is required to manage contractual, commercial and procurement issues for a reputable telecomms Project Management company operating in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Commercial Director Primary Objectives & Functions
Lead the companies commercial department and to be fully accountable for effective delivery of commercial, sub-contracting and procurement services to all operational functions in order to succeed.
You will be a key member of the companies management board.
Manage competitive procurement and commercial processes for multiple requirements in accordance with the companies policies and strategies, and always in accordance with the Head Contract/s.
Contribute to managed Services and Projects Contract Reviews as required.
Commercial Director Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage a team which will:
Manage all commercial and contractual matters (with respect to supply and sales chain) during the bid and delivery phase including issuance of PQQ's, RFI's, RFP's, ITT's to potential subcontractors / suppliers.
Provide guidance, support and advice to the project teams to enable them to adhere to the contractual obligations, company processes and procedures, including phase reviews and tender vetting.
Be responsible for ensuring commercial / contractual risks are reported, managed, mitigated, with risk assessments performed as required.
Create and maintain co-operative working relationships with the client programme team and sub-contractors.
Assist in identifying and evaluating and supporting new business opportunities, and in defining and implementing policy and future strategy.
Transition committed work packages from New Business Team to Projects teams, through the execution of the procurement / subcontract letting process.
Liaise with all suppliers, local and international on all commercial aspects prior to, during and subsequent to the procurement process.
Execute Non-Disclosure agreements, supplier agreements, MOU's and other agreements as required.
Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers / subcontractors as required.
Manage relationships with all associated suppliers in a productive manner in order to exceed customer satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities
Empowered to commit the company within appropriate delegated financial limits.
Establish and negotiate subcontract / purchase terms and conditions which are back to back with the Head Contract/s.
Negotiate and execute all contractual agreements and changes on Head Contracts.
Commercial Director Knowledge & Experience Required
Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar equivalent is desired.
Experience of working in an IT / Telecomms environment inside an ISO9000 environment is essential.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
Experienced in managing the commercial aspects of high value, high complexity projects.
Extensive experience in drafting contract terms.
Previous Middle Eastern experience is desired.
Business experience within the defense sector would be an advantage.
Package:
Tax free salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum paid in Saudi Riyals.
2 - 3 Flights per year
3 bed villa and utilities provided (Except Phone calls)
