Job Title: Estimator - Structural Steelwork

Client Profile:
Our Client is a Structural Steel, Transmission/Telecom Towers Engineering, Fabrication, and Erection Company and the premier steel stockholding and trading company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They are an approved Vendor for Aramco for over 10 years and work with International EPC contractors such as Hyundai Engineering, National Contracting Company, ASAS, SSEM, HOI, Nokia, Ericsson, Isolux, Inabensa, Kharakib, etc. The ratio of expats to locals within their company currently stands at 9:1
Job Description:
* Review proposal specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
* Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and applying labor units as applicable on a project by project basis.
* Soliciting pricing from qualified vendors and subcontractors to complete assigned work scope.
* Prepare and assemble other information to be submitted with the proposal, such as project organization chart, personnel resumes, unit prices, corporate safety information, price breakouts, quantities, schedules and insurance information.
* Maintain files of working documents as back-up for the estimate, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
* Support other Estimating Unit personnel as required through assistance with computer work, preparation of one or more discipline estimates, etc.
* Research, negotiate and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects, including obtaining the necessary insurance requirements.
* Prepare internal job setup documentation, including Advice of Contract form, code of accounts, quantity sheets and copy estimate file.
* Participate in pre-job meeting with project management personnel.
* Perform additional assignments as directed.
* These positions require the ability to develop a proposal from the Request for Proposal to the Proposal Submittal.
* The individual should have the experience to evaluate labor productivities and installation schemes.
Job Requirements:
Degree or diploma in quantity surveying or engineering is a minimum requirement.
A minimum of 10 years experience is required. 5 years steelworks
Strong conceptual estimating experience required.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING ON LARGE SCALE STRUCTURAL STEAL PROJECTS IN EXCESS OF 5,000 TONNES.

Basic salary: SR.264,000 / ?50,000 - ?60,000 p.a.Tax Free
Total Package in Saudi Riyals (SR): SR.410,953 / ?76,000 - ?90,000 p.a.
Housing: SR.60,000 / ?11,000 p.a. - this covers a fully furnished apartment
Company Car
Car Allowance: SR.12,000 / ?2,200 p.a.
Annual Bonus: SR.44,000 / ?8,000 (contingent on achieving personal + company objectives. Bonus will NOT be paid in prorated manners neither will it be part of the severance award)
