Job Title: Contracts Manager- Construction Division
Location: Perth working on projects around Western Australia

Their mining capabilities provide total 'pit to port' surface and underground mining solutions to mine owners - from mine development and the full range of mining services, to material delivery.

Job Description:
General Purpose of Role: The primary focus of the role is to manage the contractual and financial aspects of assigned projects

Horizontal complexity relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, external service providers and internal management
Vertical complexity WA State Manager to Supt
Accountable for growth in capability and performance of the Project
The specific areas of responsibility of the role
Compliance with the Management System procedures for Document Control and Control of Management System Records, ensuring policies and objectives are observed and followed in the execution of tasks.
Manage and control all administrative, financial and contractual aspects of the contract between Client and contracts
Direct and advise Client staff on administrative, financial and contractual matters
Monitor all site expenditure in line with the budget
Ensure that the financial forecasts are prepared
Ensure compliance with the Management System for Document Control and Control of Management System Records
Manage and optimise income
Identify and advise on all contractual and commercial claims and variations related to the project
Ensure early notification of any commercial, contractual issue or conflict
Authorise commercial arrangements within the Limits of Authority
Prepare and or vet subcontract and supply agreements, using information from project staff and where required obtain in-house Counsel
Review subcontract reconciliations
Ensure that the payments made to subcontractors are vetted and certified
Ensure that main contracts and subcontracts are finalised
Ensure that risks and opportunities are Identified
Work with the Project Manager to ensure that the project is adequately insured and process claims promptly in accordance with claim procedures
Ensure the reputation of the client is enhanced by promoting through the media with the client, the industry and with the community
Profile:

Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying with majors in financial planning and contract law or equivalent experience and qualifications
Minimum of 15 years hands on experience in the construction or contracting industry incorporating project experience in major contract works such as road, rail, marine, mine, water projects or heavy earthworks.
Demonstrated leadership skills and competency
Professional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in remote locations
Senior First Aid Certificate

Package:
